Singer Simi from Nigeria has stated that she never planned to wed a musician.
In an appearance for the podcast “Tea With Tay,” the singer made this statement when recounting how she first met her husband, Adekunle Gold.
Simi claimed to have met Adekunle while working as a graphic designer and mistakenly believed him to be a fan who had been waiting to message her on Facebook.
“I didn’t know my husband was singing when I met him because I already said I cannot marry a singer. I thought he was even a fan. He used to do this ‘King of Photoshop’ that time”
“He sent me a message on Facebook but I never saw it nor did I reply. I sensed that he would be good for me.”
Simi and Adekunle Gold tied the knot in 2019.
