I was on a Working Visit to the Amsterdam, Netherlands alongside the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Environmental Services, Dr Mobolaji Gaji@tajhgajy, MD LAWMA, Dr.@muyiwag, and the collaborating sector actors of Harvest Waste – a Dutch company poised to tackle Lagos’ waste challenge, generate over 50 mega watts of electricity, and create over 4000 direct and indirect jobs.
The delegation also had a productive working dinner with the CEO of Closing-the-Loop, Joost De Kluijver and team, exploring plans to establish the first e-waste smelter in West Africa in Lagos State.
The Lagos State government in line with the Governor, Mr.@jidesanwoolu ‘s T.H.E.M.E.S + Development Agenda is open to collaborations and productive partnerships that would enhance a safer, healthier and cleaner Environment.
I appreciate the collaborative effort and contribution of the Dutch Government, the Nigerian Embassy in Netherlands, and the friendly and generous reception of the Nigerian Ambassador to Netherlands, Amb. Oluremi Oluyide
