Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has tragically lost her mother. This heartbreaking news coincides with the confirmation of John Okafor’s (Mr. Ibu) passing due to cardiac arrest.
Emeka Rollas, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), shared the news on his official Instagram page on Saturday, expressing his condolences to Henshaw and describing it as a “sad day” for the AGN.
Kate Henshaw has had an illustrious career spanning over two and a half decades, making her one of the most revered figures in Nollywood. She gained recognition for her notable role in the 1993 film “When the Sun Sets” and has since become a household name, captivating audiences with her talent and versatility on screen.
In addition to her acting prowess, Henshaw is renowned for her dedication to fitness, embodying perseverance and discipline both in and outside of her film roles.
Throughout her enduring career in the Nigerian film industry, Henshaw has garnered numerous awards and accolades, a testament to her lasting impact on the cinematic landscape. It is without a doubt that her deceased mother played no small part in providing the actress with the support and guidance needed to attain her status today.
