In a significant partnership, Safagha Renewable Energy Limited is preparing to host the Honourable Minister of the Niger Delta Development Ministry, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, for the inauguration of its innovative solar hybrid mini grid project in Okpokunu, located in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on February 16, 2024.
This initiative, spearheaded by Safagha Renewable Energy Limited, aims to provide electricity to more than 595 households in Okpokunu, a community that has been without power since the devastating floods of 2012. The commissioning event symbolizes a major step forward in addressing the energy deficiency in the region.

Apart from the Okpokunu project, Safagha Renewable Energy Limited is currently undertaking two projects in Bomadi Local Government Area and two more in Burutu Local Government Area, demonstrating the company’s dedication to providing sustainable electricity to various communities.
The solar hybrid mini grid project in Okpokunu is currently undergoing testing ahead of the official inauguration, providing the community not only with electricity but also with a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solution.
