Ajayi featured in the Tigers 0-0 draw against Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena last Saturday. It was also Hull City’s first competitive game under new manager Sergej Jakirovic.
The centre-back was elated to see his side come out with a point. “I’d say overall it’s a positive result to come to a place like this and get a draw and another clean sheet,” he told the club’s official website.
Jakirovic’s side will take on Wrexham United in a Carabao Cup Round One tie later tonight. Ajayi joined Hull City on a free transfer in June.
