Nollywood actress and movie producer, Sharon Okpamen, passed away on Sunday, nearly a month after giving birth to her second child. The tragic news was confirmed by her colleague, Stanley Ontop, in an Instagram post on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Ontop wrote: “Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on.
“It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur & humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry.
“May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen @sharonokpamen.”
On July 31, Sharon announced the birth of her second child on her Facebook page.
She reportedly went into a coma after the childbirth and eventually died.
