Due to his failure to comply with the terms of his release on bond, well-known street musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known by his stage name Portable, has remained detained by the police.
He was taken into custody on suspicion of not making the N14 million loan repayment that he owed after purchasing a G-Wagon from a Lagos State auto dealer.
The musician won’t be released from custody unless he can provide a trustworthy surety, according to Benjamin Hudenyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command.
“He has presented no reliable surety yet so he (Portable) is still with us,” Hundeyin said.
