Ossai Ovie Success has criticized gospel musician Theophilus Sunday for his pre-wedding photo shoot with his fiancée, Ashley White.
On Tuesday, March 19, the gospel singer gave his Jamaican girlfriend Ashley White a sneak peek at their pre-wedding photo shoot and announced their engagement.
The couple appeared in the white-clad photos with the gospel singer holding his fiancée’s waist.
In response, Ossai, the senior special assistant on media for former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, voiced his displeasure and said that it is usual and unethical in Christianity to hold the waist of a woman who is not one’s wife.
Ossai rebuked Theophilus for using the image to show immorality to the world, especially when he was a Minister of God.
Ossai claims that the image of the singer clutching the woman’s waist offends God.
He emphasized how wrong the conduct was and urged Theophilus Sunday to think about the circumstances and ramifications of his choices.
Speaking to the gospel artist directly, Ossai begged him to acknowledge the gravity of his actions and seek God’s pardon for carrying on with his behavior.
He wrote:
“Dear Gospel singer Theophilus Sunday, Holding your fiancé’s waist is an immoral act
This is against the body of Christ.
Holding a woman waist that is not your wife is a taboo traditionally and an immoral act in Christianity.
As a minister of God, you are passing immorality to the world with this kind of photo.
God is not happy with you right now because holding a woman waist that is not your wife is same thing as having canal knowledge of her.
Look at her waist, see the positioning and also look at what makes you a man.
You will understand what I am saying.
This is wrong in all ramifications.
If you are seeing this post , kindly go on your kneel and ask our God for forgiveness.
Ossai Ovie Success.”
