Following the popularity of the first season, Showmax released the trailer for Flawsome, the drama series that is nominated for an AMVCA in its second season. The first episode of the program is set for February 12, 2024.
The show centers on the lives of four ambitious and driven friends named Ifeyinwa, Ramat, Ivie, and Dolapo who are committed to growing as people and strengthening their friendship. Every character in Season 1 faced a different set of challenges: After her father passed away, Ifeyinwa, a computer executive (played by Bisola Aiyeola), found out she wasn’t her father’s preferred heir. Ivie (Sharon Ooja) made significant progress in her fashion career, Dolapo (Enado Odigie) struggled with a professional problem, and Ramat (Ini Dima-Okojie) confronted the disintegration of her seemingly ideal marriage.
Deeper exploration of these women’s lives is promised in Flawsome Season 2, which will tackle important issues including whether Ramat will choose Godspower or whether he and Uduak can make amends. Supporters may also look forward to Ifeyinwa’s path toward independence from her father’s business, the resolution of Dolapo’s job obstacles, and if Ivie will gain insight from her interactions in both her personal and professional life.
Gabriel Afolayan, Shine Rosman, Eso Dike, Baaj Adebule, and many more are returning to the program, which will give the plot fresh depth.
The chief writer for Season 2 is Dami Elebe, who is well-known for her work on popular television programs including Skinny Girl in Transit, The Men’s Club, and Far From Home. As director and executive producer, Tola Odunsi (The Men’s Club, From Lagos with Love) is back as well.
Regarding the show’s second season, Odunsi revealed: “If I were to sum up this season in one word, it’s ‘better.’ The journey we’ve embarked on and the narrative we’re crafting is nothing short of magical. We’re telling a story that resonates deeply, especially with women, and the ability to connect with our audience in such a meaningful way is truly magical. We’re committed to maintaining the high standard of storytelling and hope to continue inspiring and connecting with our viewers through our work.”
There’s a lot of drama, friendship, and self-discovery packed into this new season. Presenting new episodes every Thursday, you can watch Season 2 only on the Showmax app starting on February 12.
