One of the goals for 2024, according to sensational vocalist Stanley Omah Didia, better known by his stage as Omah Lay, is to be among the leaders of the next wave of Afrobeats musicians.
The crooner of “Soso” claimed to have developed a “new sound” that he intends to make popular this year.
According to Omah Lay, “Holy Ghost,” his most recent track, perfectly captures the innovative sound he is bringing to Afrobeats.
“I have started a new sound,” he declared. I believe that in 2024–2025, the sound that people associate with Afrobeats will shift. And I’m going to be among the new sound’s leaders.
“I have started a new sound of Afrobeats and you’re going to hear more of that in 2024. ‘Holy Ghost’ is one of them. And I’m putting out an album. The album is going to consist of all of these new vibes.”
