Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies and federal government establishments to enhance security and service delivery in the state.
The governor gave the assurance when he received heads of newly posted security agencies and a federal establishment coordinator on a courtesy visit to Government House, Minna.
The delegation included senior officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Niger State Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, on Tuesday, Bago stressed the importance of collaboration between the state government and security agencies, urging them to strengthen partnerships to ensure peace and stability. He also encouraged them to adopt a stronger maintenance culture, noting that his administration has continued to provide facilities and resources to make their work more effective.
In their separate remarks, the Zonal Coordinator of NIS Zone D, ACG Anthony Emeka Chikezie; Comptroller of NIS, Niger State Command, Gado Ibrahim; State Commandant of NSCDC, Suberu Siyaka Aniviye; FRSC Sector Commander, Aishat Sa’ad; and NIMC State Coordinator, Aisha Yahaya Muhammad, commended the governor for his developmental strides across various sectors.
They described Bago as a “farmer governor” whose policies and initiatives are repositioning the state on the path of growth and prosperity. The officials also appreciated the state government’s support for federal agencies operating in Niger, while appealing for additional assistance, particularly in the area of logistics to boost their operations.
They pledged their unflinching support to the administration’s policies and programmes.
