Renowned filmmaker and founder of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, has unveiled his latest book, “Making Movies the Nollywood Way”, a detailed guide that explores the inner workings of Africa’s most vibrant film industry.
The book, described as both a filmmaker’s manual and a collector’s piece, captures the essence of Nollywood through the perspectives of 21 respected industry professionals, including ?pa Williams, Wale Adenuga, and Emem Isong. These contributors share their unique stories, triumphs, and struggles, offering practical lessons for both budding and established filmmakers.
Designed in a visually engaging coffee-table format, “Making Movies the Nollywood Way” combines rich storytelling with striking action photos and portraits, making it not only a resourceful guide but also an attractive keepsake for film lovers.
Oloketuyi, who has built a reputation as a passionate advocate for Nollywood through his work as a producer, writer, and convener of the BON Awards, said the book is aimed at preserving industry knowledge while inspiring the next generation of African filmmakers. The author has previously written “From Me to You” and “This is Nollywood”.
The official book launch and reading session will take place at the University of Lagos on September 7, 2025. Meanwhile, the title is already available in e-book format on Amazon and other online platforms.
