Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso, has rated the performances of his two players, Rodrygo and Franco Mastantuono, following his side’s LaLiga 3-0 win against Oviedo on Sunday.
Recall that Alonso opted to start both Rodrygo and Mastantuono in Real Madrid’s attacking line against Oviedo at the Estadio Carlos Tartiere.
A brace from Kylian Mbappe and a goal from Vinicius gave Los Blancos all three points against the hosts.
Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Alonso said both players had a good game.
Alonso said of Rodrygo’s performance: “He had a good game. In the first half, on that side he linked up well with Carreras. Mbappe sometimes dropped and so did Güler.
“He had one-on-one situations and a few shots.”
On Mastantuono’s display, Alonso added: “He had a very good game. In a short time he has managed to connect with the group and his teammates,” he said.
