Acclaimed Nigerian-Irish actress and filmmaker Ibinabo Fiberesima is set to premiere her new historical drama film, Amanyanabo: The Eagle King, in London this August. The premiere will take place on Friday, 29 August 2025, at Odeon Greenwich, with additional cultural venues under consideration.
This powerful feature film tells the story of an Ijaw monarch who chooses humility over hostility in a time of conflict, highlighting values of peace, resilience, and leadership. The event is expected to draw significant attention from the African diaspora, film enthusiasts, and advocates of diversity in cinema.
Amanyanabo: The Eagle King will feature a red-carpet reception, film screening, and an interactive Q&A session with Ibinabo Fiberesima, offering audiences a chance to explore the cultural and historical foundations of the story.
