LASIEC Officials Stranded, Forced to Trek to Polling Unit

The vehicular movement restriction at the ongoing local government election has not only affected commuters but have also left some officials of the Lagos Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) stranded.

NPO Reported that the Lagos State Police Command had yesterday announced the reviewed time of movement restriction ahead of the LG election.

While the election was slated to commence by 9am on Saturday, the restriction of vehicular movement took effect from 6am.

This had however affected LASIEC officials at Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) who were, as 9:45am, left stranded with the election materials.

As captured in a post shared on X by Channels TV, only few buses were available for the deployment of the officials, forcing some of them to trek to their respective polling units.
