Emirates and Uber have entered a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at delivering more seamless, effortless, and rewarding travel experiences for customers. The agreement was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Anabel Diaz Calderon, Vice President and Head of EMEA Mobility at Uber.
The collaboration will focus on improving the on-ground mobility experience for Emirates customers and offering new benefits to Emirates Skywards members using Uber in select markets. Among the key initiatives being explored is an integrated booking experience that combines Uber ride vouchers with Emirates flight bookings, providing travellers with streamlined airport transfers and in-city mobility.
Emirates and Uber will also work towards offering select Emirates passengers complimentary or discounted rides to and from the airport, supporting a door-to-destination travel experience. In addition, Skywards members in the UAE could soon enjoy the ability to earn Miles on Uber rides or redeem their miles for Uber credits or vouchers.
Another area of collaboration involves leveraging Uber’s technology and delivery network to enhance Emirates Courier Express services. This will support faster, more efficient last-mile delivery options across global markets.
Adnan Kazim commented: “Emirates is excited to join forces with Uber as part of our commitment to delivering seamless travel experiences. In the months ahead, we’ll closely work together to leverage our combined capabilities in travel and technology to expand planning options, create more connected end-to-end journeys across our network, and introduce exciting new benefits for our Skywards members.”
Anabel Diaz Calderon added: “We’re thrilled to partner with Emirates, a global leader in aviation, to shape the future of travel. With tailored Uber airport rides offering seamless door-to-destination journeys and loyalty benefits for Uber and Emirates customers, this collaboration will redefine the travel experience for millions of passengers.”
As the partnership develops, both companies plan to launch joint marketing campaigns across Emirates’ network to drive awareness and engagement. Details regarding commercial rollout, technical implementation, and the integration of reward structures will be announced in the coming months.
