Soludo Urges UNN Students to Embrace Ethical Leadership

Governor Charles Soludo has called on students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), to adopt ethical leadership as a driving force for national development.

Delivering a keynote lecture titled “Ethical Leadership, Security, and Sustainable Development” at his alma mater, Soludo emphasized the role of students and academics in shaping a better society. He encouraged them to serve with integrity, fairness, and purpose, noting that knowledge must be used for public good.

Reflecting on his banking reforms as former Central Bank Governor, Soludo highlighted the risks and rewards of ethical leadership, describing it as vital for progress. He shared how his administration in Anambra State has achieved significant results in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security through transparency, discipline, and visionary governance.

The governor cited projects such as the revitalization of Okpoko slum, development of new cities like Awka 2.0 and Onitsha 2.0, construction of hospitals, schools, and roads, as well as job creation and digital reforms.

He concluded by urging students to contribute meaningfully to nation-building, adding that ethical leadership remains the foundation for sustainable development.
