Nigerian actress Annie Idibia has shared the heartbreaking experience of losing a pregnancy last year.
In a recent episode of the reality show Young, Famous and African, Annie revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while expecting twins.
“You know, like, the whole of last year, even in the group, you know I wasn’t coming out enough. I was pregnant with twins. I had a miscarriage all of that time,” she disclosed during the show.
She further expressed how challenging it was to cope with the grief, revealing that only her husband, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba, and her mother were aware of her situation at the time.
Annie said, “I wish I had someone in this group that I could actually go like, ‘I’m pregnant; we’re going to have a baby.’ And then, we lost that. It was hard.”
On the same series, 42-year-old actress Ini Edo also shared her personal struggles. Edo revealed that she got married at 26 with the hope of completing childbearing by the age of 31.
However, after multiple failed attempts, she eventually chose surrogacy to achieve her dream of motherhood—a decision she initially found difficult to make public.
