An 18-passenger bus with registration number Oyo GBH 734 XB plunged into a river in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Sunday night. The bus fell into Kinnira stream, but no casualties were reported.
The bus, which plunged into Kinnira stream in Ogbomoso on Sunday night, was empty at the time of the incident. Only the driver, identified as Mayowa, was in the bus, but he escaped unharmed. Passengers had previously disembarked due to an earlier crash. The driver crashed the unoccupied bus into the river’s canal after ramming into the railings. While the bus has been retrieved, the driver’s whereabouts remain unknown as of Tuesday.
