Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed Samson Omoarebokhae, a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku. Ivy Adobo-Ebojele, the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media, confirmed this in a condolence message.
Omoarebokhae was killed on August 31, 2024, while traveling from Ozalla in Owan West Local Government Area. In response to the tragic news, the Speaker sent a delegation, led by Chief of Staff Odion Iruobe, to offer condolences to the deceased’s family. Iruobe described the loss as significant for the Assembly, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Owan West area.
The media aide described Omoarebokhae as a trusted member of the Speaker’s staff and extended condolences to the family, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time. Elijah Omoarebokhai, the deceased’s brother, thanked the Speaker for the support and sympathy extended to their family.
