Senator Musa Mustapha of Yobe East Senatorial District has urged the Federal Government to take immediate action to address the ongoing flooding crisis in Yobe State, which has severely impacted several communities. The floods have cut off nine local government areas from the state capital, making it difficult for residents to access essential supplies.
Mustapha emphasized that the disaster has worsened the already difficult conditions in the region, where many people depend on the state capital for food and basic necessities. He highlighted that multiple villages and towns in his district have also been isolated, forcing residents to take longer routes to reach the capital.
While commending Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni for his prompt response to the crisis by sending his deputy to assess the situation, Mustapha expressed his sympathy for the affected communities and prayed for relief from the hardships caused by the flood.
