Russia has attacked Ukraine for the second consecutive night with heavy airstrikes involving various weapon types, initial reports from Ukrainian authorities said on Monday morning
At least five people were killed: two from a rocket strike on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih and three from drone attacks in Zaporizhzhya. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russian military deployed long-range bombers to launch cruise missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhal (Dagger) missiles. The primary target was Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. On Monday, Russia launched an unprecedented assault on Ukraine with 127 missiles and cruise missiles, as well as over 100 combat drones, marking the highest number of such attacks reported by the Ukrainian military in two and a half years of conflict.
