The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denied rumors circulating that Nigerian social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), was arrested. Earlier reports claimed that the social critic had been apprehended by police for allegedly revealing criminal activities.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, Verydarkman was merely invited for questioning and not arrested as claimed.
She clarified that VDM was interrogated regarding accusations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and defamation of character. After he provided a statement addressing these allegations, he was promptly released.
