Afrobeats sensation and newlywed David Adeleke, known as Davido, has remarked that marrying an Igbo woman comes with its challenges.
On Tuesday, Davido married his wife, Chioma Rowland, who hails from Imo State and is of Igbo descent.
The singer made these comments during a live session on music executive Ubi Franklin’s Instagram shortly after the wedding.
However, he did not disclose the reason behind his statement.
“E no easy. E no easy to marry Igbo woman. Igbo woman, e no easy,” he stated.
During the wedding, Davido assured Chioma’s parents that he would protect and respect their daughter in their marriage.
The singer pledged to provide her with “a lifetime assurance.”
