Odumodublvck didn’t lie’ – Wizkid agrees Tems, Ayra Starr have achieved more than him

Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, has acknowledged assertions that his female colleagues Tems and Ayra Starr are outperforming him in the music industry.

Odumodublvck asserted in a recent podcast that Tems and Ayra Starr have contributed more to the Nigerian music scene than Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, prominent figures in Afrobeat and Afrobeats.

He argued that being a successful female artist is extraordinarily challenging, sparking criticism for his statement.

Reacting to the backlash, Odumodublvck wrote via X: “[laughing and rocket emojis] Kalaaaa [his nickname] – Industry machine,” eulogising himself and seemingly mocking his trolls.

Quoting the post, Wizkid wrote, “Kala no lie [suggesting Odumodublvck’s claims on the podcast weren’t false].”

An X user then wrote under Wizkid’s post: “So Ayra Starr and Tems are better than you. I’m glad you used your mouth to say Odumodu is not lying.”
