Police arrest Portable over G-Wagon debt

Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, is a well-known singer who was detained by the Lagos State Police Command.

Following his apparent reluctance to settle the debt he incurred when he bought G-Wagon from a state auto dealer, the controversial singer was apprehended on Tuesday.

After buying the car, which was valued at N27 million, Portable reportedly only spent N13 million. It was reported that he declined to pay the remaining N14 million.

The musician was reportedly taken into custody after the auto dealer reported the incident to the authorities.

The arrest was confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police.

“The report is true,” he stated simply. Today, he was taken into custody.
