Sam Larry, also known as popular socialite Balogun Eletu, has refuted reports that he was recently involved in a car accident.
Certain media outlets said that the promoter of the performance and his relatives were involved in a car accident on Saturday evening.
In response to the rumors in the wee hours of Sunday, Samlarry claimed that, in contrast to the stories, he and his family had gone out but returned safely.
He called the reports “fake news,” contrived by people who wanted to damage his reputation.
On his Instagram page, he wrote: “I, Samlarry, want to use this platform to debunk the false information spreading online about my involvement in an accident. Both my family and I are perfectly fine; we spent the day together and even went out for dinner, returning home safely.
“Despite the prevalence of fake news, please disregard any online claims about me. While some may seek to tarnish my reputation, I entrust them to God for judgment. I appreciate the concern of my friends and family, but rest assured, I am doing well, and nothing untoward has occurred.
“To those spreading falsehoods, may your actions reflect back on you. Thank you, Samlarry. God bless your home.”
Samlarry gained notoriety months ago when a video surfaced showing him and his goons interfering with the artist’s video shoot, leading to accusations that he had harassed the late musician Mohbad when he was still alive.
On October 6, Samlarry, Naira Marley, and two other people were arraigned and placed under arrest due to their claimed role in the events surrounding Mohbad’s death, a former signee of Marlian Music.
They were held for several weeks before being released on bail, though.
