Jonathan mourns ex-Chief of Staff, Arogbofa

The death of his former Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa (rtd), at the age of 72, has shocked former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Jonathan referred to him as a devoted and patriotic Nigerian who gave his all to serve our country and humanity in a condolence statement sent to the Arogbofa family and the people of Ondo State by his media assistant, Ikechukwu Eze.

He went on to say that Arogbofa was a true patriot with an impressive record of accomplishments in the military, having attained the rank of brigadier general, and in public service. According to the former president,

“Gen. Arogbofa was a devoted officer and sincere patriot whose passion and dedication to duty stood him out and reflected in the considerable achievements he made towards the development of our nation. “He will be remembered for his professionalism, passion for service and commitment to the task of nation building.”
