Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Troost-Ekong scored three goals in six appearances for Nigeria in the competition.
The 30-year-old was also a rock for the Super Eagles at the back.
The Super Eagles were defeated 2-1 by the competition’s hosts, Cote d’Ivoire.
Emilio Nsue, a forward from Equatorial Guinea, took home the top scorer trophy.
Nsue finished the competition with five goals.
Rowen Williams of South Africa took home the trophy for Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
