Renowned comedian Bovi has accused Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro of being to responsible for his team’s loss to Cote d’Ivoire in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations final.
On Sunday, Nigeria fell short of the hosts, Cote d’Ivoire, 2-1.
Bovi responded via his X Twitter, attributing the three-time African champs’ loss on coach Peseiro’s strategies.
He criticized Peseiro’s defensive-first approach, emphasizing that he would have been incensed even if Nigeria had prevailed.
Bovi wrote: “Blame the coach. We are a footballing nation of flare. Fluidity, through passes, dribbles, attack. Not all out defence. Even if we’d won, I would still be pissed. The style was evidently alien to the players.”
