UNILORIN Dismisses Abduction Rumors and Confirms Campus Safety

The University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, has responded to the widespread rumors about the purported kidnapping of one of her students, Adebola, Moyosore Bright, a 100L Zoology student in the Faculty of Life Sciences. In a recent news release, the university stated that her student is secure and that the ‘purported’ kidnapping is a fabrication.

The university’s administrators spoke through the Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, to confirm that Moyosore Bright is in good health and criticized the erroneous statement. It emphasized UNILORIN’s commitment to providing a secure environment for learning, research, and community service, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to its tripartite mission.

UNILORIN has consequently advised the public to depend solely on reputable information and assures all students, parents, and stakeholders that the campus is still safe. The Management consequently urged for caution against the persistent and continuing propagation of unsubstantiated rumours with a reassurance of its commitment to the welfare and safety of all members of the university community.
