Heads To Roll As Top Government Officials Prepare For Tinubu’s Ministerial Assessment

These officers, selected from each ministry’s delivery desk and planning department, will monitor progress on major goals, identify obstacles, and report back to the central delivery unit.

Before President Bola Tinubu’s first ministerial performance assessment, 140 officials from 35 government departments are prepared to evaluate the work of ministers and agency heads.

These officers, selected from each ministry’s delivery desk and planning department, will monitor progress on major goals, identify obstacles, and report back to the central delivery unit.

The assessment, scheduled for the end of this month, carries significant weight. As Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, Mrs. Hadiza Bala-Usman has warned that underperforming ministers face the possibility of dismissal. “The President is very serious about his promises,” she emphasised. “Ministers will be assessed, and ministers will be dropped if they don’t perform.”

This thorough review procedure demonstrates President Tinubu’s dedication to keeping his commitments and improving the lives of Nigerians.

The 140 officials serving as the assessment’s engine room will play a critical role in maintaining accountability and pushing performance across government departments.
