Salisu Muktar, a cultist evading arrest in Nigeria, was captured by Ogun State Police Command officers. The Eagle Online reports that Muktar, a prominent figure in the Eiye Confraternity, escaped to Ghana. Upon his return to Nigeria, believing the situation had eased, Muktar was apprehended by Sakura Divisional Police Headquarters operatives in the Sagamu area of Ogun State.
According to information obtained by The Eagle Online, the 34-year-old suspected cultist was started at LG School, Agura in Sagamu by one Ope, alias Sure Boi, who was purportedly murdered during the previous cult fight in the region.
According to police sources, Muktar, also known as Agbara Nla, admitted to being a verified member of the Eiye Confraternity.
According to reports, he would be moved to the Anti-cultism Unit at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters for further and discreet investigation.
According to The Eagle Online, the Command’s Commissioner, CP Abiodun Alamutu, has repeatedly urged offenders, especially cults, to avoid the state.
Alamutu has also personally led raids on cultists, particularly in the state’s Sagamu region, which has become known for cult activity.
