DJ Big N, also known as Nonso Temisan Ajufo, a Mavin Records disc jockey, has said that there is a surge in kidnappers of Lagos State.
Big N asked the public to exercise caution and safeguard themselves and their loved ones, saying he can “categorically” certify that kidnappers are now in the state.
He wrote, “I repeat, please be very vigilant of your surroundings. Especially while driving or walking in Lagos. I can categorically tell you that kidnappers are now in Lagos. Walk in groups.
“And make sure your car doors are pinned down. Protect yourself and your loved ones.”
Police Find a School and a Tunnel Used to Transport Victims by Kidnappers
According to related news, the Abia State Police have found a tunnel that kidnappers allegedly used to transfer their captives into the woods.
Over the weekend, CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, the Commissioner of Police for Abia State, revealed the news.
He disclosed that the tunnel was situated in Umunneochi LGA’s Lekwesi hamlet.
According to the commissioner, he escorted a group of Abia State government representatives and members of Operation Crush to two schools in the Lekwesi village of Umunneochi LGA that kidnappers had taken over.
Onwuemelie stated that the schools that were inspected had been decrepit for a long time, adding that rehabilitation of the schools will make it harder for criminals to make use of them as dens.
The culverts seen in the forested regions may be utilized to conceal victims, according to CP Onwuemelie, who also stated that the area is rather large.
